Landing Page and Keywords
Let's say you've researched your keywords, tested them, and come up with a list of keywords that have converted well. You are now ready to prepare your content. This is simply what you are driving your traffic to. If you are working with an affiliate program, you will have to create a landing page. This is where your traffic lands when they click on your keywords (your sales page). From your landing page, your visitors are redirected to your product.
CREATING CONTENT
When creating content, you have to be crafty. You can bet your life that someone else is selling the same thing. You want to be different. You want your ad to stand out; and not just stand out, you want to WOW your readers and entice them into thinking this is a product that they must have-a necessity.
Here are a few tips and pointers to help you succeed:
?Your landing page is the first thing a potential buyer sees, so it has to be a show stopper. Remember you only have a brief moment to catch their attention. In a split second, with one click of the mouse, a visitor can be headed elsewhere down the internet highway leaving you high and dry.
Use subheadings to direct your readers to specific areas. Most people don't read an entire page; instead, they glimpse through it searching for something of relevance. Subheadings enhance the flow of your content.
Your keywords must be relevant to what your readers are looking for. Remember, there are tons of other people out there selling the same or similar products.
Your page should have a link to direct your visitor to one product. Several products may send them off in another direction and unless you are marketing all of the products, it may cause you to lose a sale.
In most cases, your reader doesn't know you from Adam, so it is important to provide quality wholesome information. Offering testimonials are always good. Give them something to make them feel they can trust you. Offering your contact information is always a good idea. It puts a buyer at ease knowing they can contact the seller.
If you are selling software or an instant download, make sure the buyer as an option to uninstall it easily.
If you request a buyer to provide their email address, always give them the option to be able to remove themselves from your mailing list.
?Make the buying transaction a smooth one. PayPal is always a great option. It is a respected site, used by many, and easy to use. Adding a PayPal button is a great way to get them to buy now.
SEAL THE DEAL
Remember: Use your keywords effectively; create a smashing headline; give the reader quality content-an offer they can't refuse; offer them a quick and easy method of paying and voila, you have a sale.
The key is:
Get their attention + Offer them something they can't refuse = Get paid in full.
