How to use the Tools?

Keyword research tools are very easy to use and are critical in driving traffic to your website. Using the wrong words means no one will be able to find your site and using the right words means money in the bank.

Word Tracker, just one of many keyword research tools, has a "Free Keyword Suggestion Tool." While this site is not free to receive all the bells and whistles, it does allow you to get suggestions for keywords for FREE. This will generate up to 100 keywords for your niche.

Go to Word Tracker and the Keyword Suggestion Tool. Type in a keyword. Let's use "PLANTS" as an example.

The keyword suggestion tool comes up with 62,848 searches and it lists the first 100 for you.

A few of these are: Plants, how do plants grow, plant growth, plant identification, plant names, plant encyclopedia, yucca plant, what makes plants grow?just to name a few.

You will probably come across some things that never crossed your mind.

Another site to try is Google Ad Words.

This allows you the option of generating keywords and phrases or your website content.

A few of the suggestions that Google AdWords has come up with are: Corn plant, vascular plant, plant diseases, landscape plants….

One good thing about Google Ad Words is that it also gives you more information such as how many other people are using the keywords, the volume of people who searched a particular word in a months time, and the average of searches of a particular word in the 12-month period.

Google also allows you to input your URL for your website or articles and provide keyword suggestions from the text you have on your site.
